Funerals​

My fees are usually billed via the Funeral Director which means it is one less worry for the next of kin. I only bill directly for Interments and memorials as no Funeral director is present.  However, sometimes the family do prefer to pay me directly, and if this is your wish that is acceptable too.

The above charges include everything we need to do to get the Funeral for your loved one just right:

Traveling to an initial meeting with you and your family; emails, phone calls, drafts and revisions.  I will also help you source music for use at the crematoria/chapel, readings, and poetry.  Additionally, I will support anyone who will be speaking, and maintain excellent contact with the Funeral Director and your chosen venue for the Funeral, holding the service for you on the day.

Weddings / Vow renewals & Rituals​

The cost of a wedding/partnership ceremony with me, in line with most regional celebrants, is currently in the range of £400 upwards (depending on the location of the venue, type of wedding ceremony required and inclusion of any mini rituals.

The cost of Vow Renewal ceremonies tends to typically be slightly less as the service is shorter (reduced content) smaller and more intimate. Often ceremonies are less than 30 people in attendance. However, the price is dependent on the length of the ceremony, material delivery, rituals, location etc.

Prices range from £300 upwards (If there will be more structure to the day where other family wish to participate then the fee will be charged for a wedding)

(*Where a couple may wish to receive a ritual of promise or binding such as Handfasting any materials provided will be at additional cost)

I ask for a 50% deposit on confirmation of booking and this will secure the date of your ceremony in my diary, the remaining balance will be due in two equal payments, one on the production of the ceremony script and one a month before the ceremony.

I will always be as flexible as possible with postponing ceremonies and changing dates as required.

After booking there will be an initial meeting with you to find out some background information about you as a couple (how you met, your relationship and hopes for the future). We can discuss how and where you would like the ceremony to be delivered and the input from family and friends you might require. I will give as much advice on readings, music, poetry etc. as you need and we can discuss any symbolic, cultural acts or mini rituals that you wish included.

After the initial meeting, I then write a draft script based on the information you have given me and will make any amendments that you require. It may be that I need to liaise again to make sure the ceremony is as you wish, Where a meet-up is not possible I will make sure that we speak via phone/ or video conference. 

Part of my services as a celebrant includes liaison with others involved in the ceremony as required, for example, wedding planners, musicians, photographers, family and friends delivering readings on the day etc.

For a small extra fee, I will come along to a rehearsal or run-through of the day to check any practicalities that need addressing, and most importantly I will professionally deliver the agreed script and conduct the ceremony at your chosen venue on the day!

I will also provide certificates and a presentation keepsake copy of the ceremony.

If you are looking to book my services as a celebrant for a “destination” wedding, or one where I would need to stay in the vicinity on the evening before the ceremony this can be discussed when we meet. (*At additional cost)

Naming Ceremonies

Typically naming ceremonies are £250 However, if there is a lot of content to be included in the day or additional siblings are being blessed at the same time the cost may alter slightly.

 

The fee includes meeting you in advance to draw up a plan of the ceremony and what elements you would like included.  Thought will be given to the special people you would like included in the blessing.  I also gather information for the actual ceremonial script.

After the initial meeting, I begin writing a bespoke draft script which will then be forwarded to you for perusal and any agreed amendments/additions etc.

Delivering the script and professionally conducting the ceremony itself at a venue of your choice on the day.

Producing parents and guide-parents certificates as a memento of the day if the ceremony is for a child OR

providing a certificate for the individual who is receiving the blessing.

A Light Blessing Candle for the child/individual.

Forwarding a presentation keepsake copy of the ceremony for the family.

(*Any ritual blessings such as sand blending, ribbon wreaths, Signature bears etc are provided at extra cost.)
